Detective Sergeant Frank Hammon

If there was anyone who could lighten up your life, it would be Frank Hammon. He’s a bit of a ladies man but lacking somewhat in tack. He has the ability to charm the scales off a snake and oftentimes gets rather distracted in the presence of those belonging to the opposite gender. Contrary to what one might think, he isn’t a sleaze but he likes to think that he’s the type of person you’d want walking home with at night. He isn’t exactly the brightest pick of the crop but Frank does have his heart in the right place and, if you ask him to do something for the greater good, you can rely on him to use all his influences to pull a few strings. While he’ll never admit it, he finds strong, mysterious women quite to his liking.

An average sports all-rounder, Frank is the son of a Catholic pastor. Born and bred in the country town of Tumby Bay on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula, he had a rather strict upbringing, attending an all-boys private boarding school in Adelaide. The youngest of four boys, he needed some outlet to reveal his rebellious side, often socialising in some of the city’s more vibrant nightclubs. When he eventually joined the police force, he found himself investigating crime in his favourite hotspots.
